STRUCTURE
Leak testers internal machine are made up of the following parts:
- Adjustable head support unit
- Electrical control panel
- Pneumatic junction box
- Control panel and parameterization
- Bottle conveyor belt
- Bottle rejection belt
The signals taken from the blower are acquired by proximity sensors positioned on the structure of the blower itself.
These sensors inform the bottle testing system that newly-moulded bottles have been removed from the mould and are held by the blower’s pick-up device under the test area.
These signals synchronise the processing operations between the machine cycle of the blower and the test cycle of the seal test equipment.
During the initial testing stage, bottles will be held up by the blower pick-up device and will be in contact with the output belt to guarantee the correct position of bottles during the descent of the testing heads.
The control and parameters panel represents the man-machine interface with the testing system.
From the control panel the operator can change the system parameters, reset the alarms, select test exclusion and start up or stop the test cycle and bottle output.
The bottle conveyor belt allows bottles to come out of the blower. This system can be supplied with a suction system so that the stability of bottles can be assured during the output stage. The output speed can be set from the control panel. The bottle testing structure consists of all the mechanical heads and of the electro-pneumatic equipment which operate on bottles to carry out the seal test.
This structure fixed on the blower has vertical – horizontal regulations for correctly positioning the heads on the neck of the bottle so that it is guaranteed to be airtight during the test. The bottle discard area at the end of the conveyor belt consists of a reject actuator (operated by a cylinder or air jet ) and an optical sensor to centre the bottle discard during movement. The testing system may be applied to both single and double line machines.
In case of double line machines, from the control panel it is possible to independently enable or disable the test of one line or the other.
